Our Patrons are:

The Centre is governed by a Board of Directors.  It is a Company Limited by Guarantee and is also a registered charity relying upon voluntary support for its income. The Centre believes that its emphasis on healthy nutrition and lifestyle, together with a wide range of complementary care, contributes towards a better quality of life supporting medical treatments provided by hospitals and doctors. The Centre was opened around 20 years ago by David Holmes, a medical researcher, Dr Roger Field and Tony King.  It was then based on the "Bristol" holistic approach to the treatment and prevention of cancer

Our Mission Statement and Objectives

CancerWise offers hope and support to all cancer patients and carers living in West Sussex and South East Hampshire during diagnosis, treatment and recovery.

Based in Chichester, CancerWise provides a wide range of services from a daily drop-in Centre offering access to free and subsidised therapies, an internet based cancer information centre, library facilities, counselling, emotional support and regular talks on cancer related subjects.

WHAT WE DO

Counselling and Befriending One to one and groups

Education Access to an internet based cancer information centre, library facilities, nutritional advice and regular talks.

Therapies Therapies such as Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, and Craniosacral, as well as counselling and emotional support are free; Yoga and T'ai Chi are subsidised.

Self Help Relaxation tapes, self help groups and creative activities.
