CancerWise Soapbox Derby at Goodwood

How to enter

1) Read the Rules and Regulations included with the Entry Form

2) Complete the entry form (Junior / Senior / Business)

3) Complete parental consent form if applicable and all team members must sign the disclaimer form

3) Write a cheque for £40 per entry (Junior & Senior) and £50 for business (minimum donation) made payable to “Cancerwise”

4) Send completed form(s) and cheque to:

You will receive confirmation of your entry. On the day, entrance will be from 8.30am and vehicle inspection and will commence from 9am

Additional Competitions

1. Novelty

This class will be judged purely on the basis of audience entertainment qualities. Carts entered for this competition must comply with the Rules and Regulations.

2. Fastest Individual

This prize will be awarded to the driver achieving the fastest single time on the day of the event. This class is open to all competitors.

3. Fastest Lady

This prize will be awarded to the female driver, who achieves the fastest single time by a lady on the day of the event.

4. Fastest Junior

This prize will be awarded to the driver under the age of 16 years on the day of the competition, who achieves the fastest single time on the day of the event.

5. Concours d’ Elegance

This prize will be awarded to the team which, in the opinion of an independent judge, is the best presented on the day of the event. It is not necessary to enter specifically to be considered for this prize.

6. Spirit of the Event

This prize will be awarded by the organisers to the team which in their opinion best reflects the fun and sporting nature of The Cancerwise Soapbox Derby.

7. Furthest distance achieved

This prize will be awarded to the team that achieve the greatest distance past the finish line

8. Highest Sponsorship raised

This prize will be awarded to the team that raise the most money in sponsorship for Cancerwise

In all classes, the prizes awarded will be restricted to worthless trophies.
